Developing the Power Strike Series: The Next Step for Intuit Sport

Since December, we have been focused heavily on research and development for the next stage of Intuit Sport’s product line: the Power Strike Series.

The Power Strike Series consists of two models, the Power Strike Tour and the Power Strike Tour+, each designed around the same core objective: create high-performance paddles that feel refined, play consistently, and justify their place in a competitive player’s bag.

The Power Strike Tour is built around a hybrid shape, while the Power Strike Tour+ uses an elongated shape. The goal is to give players two clearly different options within the same performance family, with each shape creating its own feel, reach, balance, and playing characteristics.

At the same time, development is also underway on the Foundation Series and X Series, giving us multiple product families in progress as we continue building out the Intuit Sport lineup.

From the beginning, Intuit Sport has taken a product-first approach. Rather than rushing products to market, we have spent the past several months testing, refining, evaluating construction, and learning how each paddle performs under real playing conditions.

The Power Strike Series is the first major extension of that philosophy.

Two Paddles, Two Different Purposes

The Power Strike Tour and Power Strike Tour+ were developed to give players two distinct options within the same performance family.

The Power Strike Tour’s hybrid shape is designed to offer a balanced playing profile, combining maneuverability, stability, and reach in a format intended to feel versatile across different areas of the court.

The Power Strike Tour+ uses an elongated shape, giving players additional reach and a different overall balance and response.

The goal was never simply to create two paddles with different names. We wanted the shape of each model to contribute directly to how it plays and give players a meaningful reason to choose one over the other.

That meant spending time evaluating balance, stability, power delivery, control, reach, maneuverability, and how each paddle responded through different types of contact.

We wanted the Power Strike Tour and Power Strike Tour+ to feel related, but not interchangeable.

Development Through Real Player Feedback

A large part of the Power Strike Series development process has come from direct player testing.

We believe the best way to understand a paddle is to put it in the hands of players who can push it beyond casual use. That includes competitive players who can identify subtle differences in responsiveness, weight distribution, control, and durability.

Their feedback has helped shape the direction of both Power Strike Series models throughout the R&D process.

Instead of treating testing as the final step before launch, we view it as part of the design process itself. A product can look right on paper and still need significant changes once it reaches the court.

That is why athlete feedback continues to play such an important role in how we build.

Building for Competition

One of our objectives with the Power Strike Series is to create equipment capable of holding up in serious competitive environments.

That means looking beyond first impressions.

A paddle has to feel good after one session, but it also has to perform consistently over time. It has to respond predictably during fast exchanges, remain stable under pressure, and give players confidence when points matter.

As development continues, we are putting greater emphasis on testing Intuit Sport equipment in high-level and professional tournament environments.

For us, that kind of testing is more valuable than simply making claims about performance.

The product has to prove it.

Building a Broader Product Line

While the Power Strike Series is currently one of our primary development focuses, it is not the only product family we are working on.

The Foundation Series and X Series are also in development as part of a broader effort to build a lineup that serves different types of players, playing styles, and performance needs.

Each series will have its own purpose.

We do not want to create multiple products simply to expand the catalog. Every paddle should have a clear reason to exist and a clear player it is being built for.

That means giving each series the same level of attention to construction, testing, player feedback, and refinement.

Building Through R&D

Since December, the focus has been R&D first: materials, construction, player feedback, manufacturing, and understanding what separates a good paddle from one that players genuinely want to keep using.

Each round of testing gives us more information. Some changes are small. Others can alter the direction of the product entirely.

That process takes time, but we believe the time spent before launch matters.

The Power Strike Series, Foundation Series, and X Series are all being developed around those lessons.

We would rather refine the product now than explain its shortcomings later.

The Power Strike Series is coming, and it is only one part of what we are building.

Make the product prove itself first.
