Looking Ahead at Intuit Sport
Happy New Year from Intuit Sport!
As we enter the new year, we are already focused on what comes next.
The X Series will conclude with the Tour X3. Rather than extending the line further, we are putting our development efforts into something entirely new.
Internally, we are calling it Project Confidential.
The product is being developed for a planned Q2 2027 release, and the objective is ambitious:
Power when you need it. Control when you need it. Touch and feel when you need it.
At the same time, we are working to improve two areas that matter just as much as initial performance: surface longevity and core durability.
The goal is not simply to make a paddle that performs well on day one. We want to build one that maintains that performance for longer.
The X Series Ends With the Tour X3
The Tour X3 was developed ahead of its broader January 2025 release, with an advanced release giving us an opportunity to put the product into players’ hands earlier and gather real-world feedback.
It became the final evolution of the X Series.
We do not believe every product family needs to continue indefinitely. Sometimes the right move is to take what we learned from one generation and use those lessons to build something fundamentally different.
That is what we are doing now.
The Tour X3 will continue to carry the X Series forward, but there will not be an X4.
The next chapter is Project Confidential.
One Paddle, More Complete Performance
One of the central goals behind Project Confidential is reducing the compromises players have traditionally had to make.
Players often think about paddles in categories.
Power paddles.
Control paddles.
Touch-oriented paddles.
The challenge is creating equipment that can give a player access to each of those characteristics when the point demands it.
That is what we are working toward.
Power when you accelerate.
Control when you need to reset.
Touch and feel when the point slows down.
We want the paddle to respond to the player rather than forcing the player into a single style of play.
Performance That Lasts
Performance means very little if it disappears too quickly.
Surface wear and changes in core performance become increasingly important as players use their equipment more frequently and at higher levels.
With Project Confidential, durability is being treated as part of performance rather than a separate consideration.
We are working on a surface designed to maintain its playing characteristics for longer and a core built around greater longevity and consistency.
That requires more testing, more development, and more time.
It is also one of the reasons we are targeting Q2 2027 rather than rushing the product into market.
Rethinking the Warranty Experience
We are also developing a significantly stronger warranty experience around the next generation of Intuit Sport equipment.
If a qualifying issue develops, we want the process to be simple.
No unnecessary return process.
The customer keeps the existing paddle, submits photos, explains the issue, and, once the warranty claim is approved, we send the replacement.
We believe a warranty should reduce frustration, not create more of it.
If something legitimately goes wrong with our product, our priority should be getting the player taken care of as efficiently as possible.
That philosophy will be an important part of Project Confidential.
The Name Is Coming Soon
Project Confidential will not be its final name.
Development is already underway, and we will be announcing the official name of the paddle soon.
There is still plenty we are keeping behind the scenes, including details surrounding its construction, technology, and final specifications.
For now, we want to share the direction before we share everything else.
What Comes Next
The Tour X3 remains our current flagship and the final chapter of the X Series.
Behind it, Project Confidential is taking shape.
There is still significant development ahead, but the direction is clear.
We are working toward a paddle that delivers:
Power when you need it. Control when you need it. Touch and feel when you need it.
A surface designed to last longer.
A core designed to last longer.
And a warranty designed around taking care of the player.
The X Series ends with the Tour X3.
Project Confidential begins what comes next.
Official name coming soon.
